Tayla earns first top 5 of the year. With the passing of Team leader Mark Howard on Monday, being at the track  the day after his memorial service was extremely difficult for us. But knowing that is what he would want,  our entire team banded together and in a tribute to Mark was able to deliver all 4 cars finishing in the top ten. With Michael Cooper in 3rd,Tayla in 5th,Garrett Bunch in 8th and Gus Dean in Ninth. Thank-You Mark!!!

Tayla adds yet another top ten qualifying spot with a ninth place start and finished one spot better in the eighth spot despite being spun early on and coming from the back. The spin caused Tayla's j-bar to bend resulting in her having a very loose car for the remainder of the race. Tayla moves back into the top ten in points and looks foward to the next race at Florence Motor Speedway.

Tayla survived not only a rain delay but a total wreckfest in Friday night's race at Florence to finish in the seventh spot. She also fired off a fifth place qualifying effort despite an early round spot on a still damp track. Carnage was the word of the night  with multiple cautions for spins and wrecks which we were able to avoid with a complete car that had minor bumps and abrasions. We look foward to next week at Southern National Raceway Park - another first time track for us and also for the driver's meeting which after this weeks mayham should be very colorful by the Allison brothers.

Tayla earned another top ten qualifying effort with an eighth starting spot despite having only 1/2 hour of practice and it being her first time at this track. After a short rain delay, Tayla was racing for sixth position when a lap car bounced off the apron into the field which resulted in her left wheel being hit causing her to spin. She was able to finish in 11th position and after the race it was found she had suffered a bent left spindle in her hit.
With the Touring Series having an off week, Tayla will return to the North Series and enter a race in conjunction  with the Camping World Series in upstate New York. This will be Tayla's first race with the North Series since relocating to Randleman  North Carolina.

Tayla Wins ALNRS North/South Shootout
Tayla was able to collect the Win for the first North /South shootout run at AIS in upstate New York. The race was held in conjuntion with the CWES race on sat night. Tayla had to overcome contact with the wall during qualifying which caused her to start dead last. She would like to thank Ryan Glenski and crew for their help in repairing the damage to her car. Along with the win Tayla collected the hard charger award. After traveling a total of 25 Hours for the race she looks foward to racing at Tri-County and Hickory Motor Speedway this weekend.

Tayla qualified 7th and made her way to second place before a late race red flag for a big crash. Upon the restart drivers were told four laps to go but Tayla now  discovered her throttle cable was hanging wide open. She was able to hang on for the finish but lost two spots for a fourth place ending.

Another 7th place qualifying spot. Just past half way she jumped to the outside for her run to the front only the inside line didn't see her and contact occured sending her into the outside wall ending what should have been another top five. She settled for 17th.

Tayla qualified 9th with 6 cars separated by a mere 5 thousandths. She developed a tight condition causing her to fall back and struggle until a caution on lap 49 of 75. After several quick pit stops for adjustments, Tayla was able to get back to the front for a 7th place finish.

THIRD PLACE FINISH!!

Tayla tied her best qualifying effort with a 3rd place start. Tayla was able to keep that spot throughout the race even with a few late race cautions and some heavy pressure from the 68 car to finish in the 3rd spot. Tayla and her team tested a new set-up which brought her car to life, had a consistent  feel and stayed fast to the end.

TAYLA QUALIFIES FOURTH AND FINISHES SEVENTH

Tayla made her first apperance at the historic track and continued her momentum with a fourth place qualifying effort. The start of the race, however, proved to be challenging for some with a lap two crash that clipped Tayla causing her to spin. Unfortunately, now at the back, Tayla had to race against cars who she had made an effort to qualify in front of because of their lack of patience. This proved true while Tayla was racing hard with the 50 car of Garrett Bunch for several laps, the 60 car of Tyler Speer got impatient after Tayla got to the inside of the 50. He went three wide in turn 3 and with no room for the turn slammed into Tayla's left wheel knocking her toe out and forcing her into the 50 car. Tayla was able to keep her spot but that ended any further advancement. Tayla was very frustrated because she had out qualified the 60 by at least a few tenths and had a much better prepared car.

December 6, 2008   Road Course

Tayla qualified 12th but early into the race developed a problem with the clutch slave cylinder causing the pedal to go to the floor on several occasions. Unfortunately this made it very difficult to be competitive on a road course and she decided to use this race as a practice to tone her heel toe braking moves and finished 17th. Although it was heartbreaking to finish the season this way she still got some valuable experience she will use in the future.

TAYLA QUALIFIES THIRD - FINISHES FIFTH
With yet another impressive finish Tayla was able to not only qualify again in the top five but finish there as well in Sunday's 200 lap race. Even with no practice on Sunday, Tayla was able to put down a blistering third spot for qualfying in the 27 car field.

Tayla qualifies 12th at Orange County Speedway in her Super Late Model Debut. She out-qualified many seasoned veterans this being her second qualifying attempt in Super Late Models.  Tayla settled in and made her way into the top ten and had fifth place in sight when a sway bar link broke causing her to bounce off the wall damaging her right front suspension and ending her race early. She had made it to the 7th spot on lap 37 and was saving her car for the end. A very impressive start in her Super Late Model experience.  Thank you to the #56 Legacy team for their help in the pits.  Thank you to Trey Mitchell's #47 team for helping us adapt to a new series.

Tayla finished 14th of 25 improving her standing and gaining more experience in one of  PASS  Souths' more vicious dogs fights of record. Tayla found herself back in the pack at the start when the track tightened up more than the crew expected resulting in a tight racecar for qualifying. While moving up at the start of the race she was caught up in a crash when the 5 hit the wall hard and she had no where to go damaging her nose. After several laps in the pits she was able to return and ran lap times equal to the leaders. With just over 50 to go she was passing another competitor on the inside when they turned down into her and ended her day early.

Tayla had her first experience with a built-motor car and took little time adjusting to her X car. Tayla and her crew chief decided to go with a Myrtle Beach race strategy which got her a lap down at lap 47. She knew the other cars would come back to her and towards the end they did. She eventually got the Lucky Dog and got back on the lead lap with her tires in good shape. At lap124 she had made her way to fifth spot when a caution set the way for a green/white/checkered finish. The restart went well until entering turn one she was run over by the 88 car and hit the outside wall.  In spite of the hit, she was able to finish in 13th spot. Until getting run over, Tayla managed to race the entire event without a mark on her car.

Tayla now wanted to take her crate-motor car and prove she could get to the front with it - and to the front she went. Slowly and without hurting her tires, Tayla made it to the top ten then into the top 5 but again with 4 laps to go there was another caution. This being the first race for her with a two speed transmission, she spun the tires on the restart and had to settle for a sixth place finish. If we could get rid of those late cautions, Tayla's finishes would better reflect the fact that she had raced two completely different cars into the top five past extremely stiff competition.  Good Job Tayla!!!!

Tayla accomplished another goal this weekend by qualifying in the top 20 locking herself in the race and eliminating the need for a last chance qualifier. This was not without drama as she spun on her first lap and was able to avoid contact with anything. After circling backwards to restart her lap she blistered a 16th spot solidly in the field. The race would be run with several newcomers. As usual, she began her run on the outside, a move she is known for, and proceeded to the front. However, at about lap 30 some drivers behind her were not as patient as she. She was taken out from behind sending her into the wall. She was able to refire and get to the pit where members of as many as 4 different teams engulfed the car to get her back on track. She was able to do this but complained of something not feeling right. Tayla brought her car to the pit where it was discovered that her rear clip was binding her left rear spring making it impossible to compete. In all it was a great effort by Tayla as we out qualified and were racing better than  many other top-notch teams but with minimal help. She also switched from her crate motor to her built motor and proudly stated "No more crates for me". Thanks Darrell.
